How it Works

100% virtual, accessible no matter where you are.

For 6 weeks, we’ll meet weekly every Tuesday from 7-9pm EST.

Starting on March 2, 2021, our cohort will meet weekly every Tuesday from 7-9pm EST with Jessica Korthuis, Sohuis’ Founder and CEO as your program lead.

  • Founders have weekly, pre-recorded modules they need to finish, as well as specific assignments they complete each week.
  • In addition to our weekly cohort calls, participants also get access to a private Slack Channel where we work together outside of our virtual “in-person” time.
  • Jessica personally supports this channel weekly, and founders can ask questions and get advice and feedback in real time.

You will be given a workbook and access to the entire curriculum that has been built on proven and practiced marketing frameworks. The knowledge you’ll acquire in this program will equip you with transferable skills that you can apply well beyond the 6 week accelerator.

After the formal 6 week program ends, you will have 2 additional weeks to prepare for the live, virtual, demo-day, where you will have the opportunity to pitch your business and create a flawless pitch deck that encompasses everything you learned in the program to a panel of marketing experts and successful womenpreneurs.

Pitch winners will be selected by our panel of mentors and receive an incredible digital package of prizes from our brand partners.

Some quick and important details:

  • All weekly sessions are mandatory to attend
  • You must be committed to the entirety of the program

Upon successful completion of the program, all Lucy Lab Graduates will receive a certificate of completion.

This is a game changer You need this program sis.

Educational Pillars

The program has been exclusively designed to address the unique challenges female founders face when branding, marketing and launching their companies. Below are our educational pillars and broad themes participants will learn:

The Lean Startup

A movement that completely transformed how products are built and launched, this first pillar is all about shifting and building your mindset.

In these modules, you’ll learn how to think completely differently about launching your business into the market, embrace the notion that progress is better than perfection, and learn 11 key Lean Startup principles that will become the fundamental pillars to building and launching your business.

Customer Validation

A great go-to-market strategy principle is to create demand before you produce supply when possible. You’ll learn how to identify and find your ideal customer, and determine if they will actually PAY for your unique solution.

Product/Market Fit

Your product/market fit is the intersectionality of your unique selling points and what your customer actually needs and wants. Learn how to determine what your product/market fit is and build your business on a foundation that is primed for meaningful branding.

Building Blocks to Branding

Building a brand is a series of delicate, interconnected steps. These modules will teach you how to build a brand that resonates with your ideal customer and create a brand platform that is unique to you and your business.

Clearly Communicating Your Impact & Vision - Ready, set, launch!

Participants end the program with a flawless pitch deck/presentation that clearly communicates exactly what they do, who they help, why they help them, and why their solution is the best option in the marketplace.

Graduates of the The Lucy Lab will leave the program with a brand that is market-ready and validated with a clear purpose and vision, giving them all of the building blocks needed to dominate their market.

Wise words from past grads

I came in with a vague notion of what I wanted to build but also with competing visions and no strategy for prioritizing. The mentors were so accessible and specific in their feedback, which allowed me to hear my own vision reflected back to me and refined into something that I was excited by. The level of collective expertise brought into the experience by the mentors was higher than I could have expected, and I have so many new possibilities to consider in bringing my pitch to fruition.

I am coming out of this program with knowledge on Lean Startup Strategy, experience in pitching, competitions, a much clearer product offering and a lot more knowledge on what areas need growth and nurturing - Finding differentiating factors amongst my product offerings AND a wonderful group of female founder friends.

I am forever grateful for your support and your mentorship.

You made us all feel like we were part of a family, not just a marketing accelerator and that was really special.

I would recommend this to any female founder who is starting her business and in need of guidance and support along her journey.

Before going into the program, I thought I had a pretty decent understanding of who my customers were, but The Lucy Lab challenged me to dive deeper than what I would've imagine. I didn't leave just only understand the "soul" of my customers, but I also defined the products and services I could create that helped and added value for them. The Lucy Lab is grounded in business principles that actually work and is used in business world and not a random framework someone created. One of the best part is you walk away also having a community of women who are your forever supporters.

The Lucy Lab was absolutely critical, it was the 'thing' that both my business and I needed to understand essential elements of marketing and the product.

  • What an enlightening experience!

When people used to ask me what my business was about, my first thought was “it’s complicated, let’s see if I can explain this.” Now, I feel confident when I’m asked that question, and it’s made a huge difference in the way I present my business.
